At Unruly we have decided to make our investment memos public. We have to write them anyways for ourselves and our LPs, and think they can be very useful for people to see how we (and other investors) think about opportunities and give a glimpse into the investment process of venture firms. It’s also a great way to keep strong accountability and go back in the future to read the ones that didn’t work out and see why our decision might have been wrong.
Overview
Sun Bear Bioworks is developing an alternative to palm oil by using precision fermentation. Sun Bear’s labs are located in Headington, Oxford. The founding team met at the Carbon 13 accelerator in Cambridge.
